Paint Job Checklist

Painting your room might not be as easy as it looks. But if you enjoy it, then it would be a fun activity, especially if you do it with some friends. Before starting to paint, there are some things to be remembered:

- Clear away the furniture or at least cover them.

- Wash the walls before starting to paint, especially in the areas where lots of

grease presents like in the kitchen or the bathroom.

- If you have wallpaper beforehand, make sure to get rid of the glue.

- Make sure that you are using the right type of paint before starting any projects.

- If necessary, use some tapes to protect some places like the window or parts of

   the floor.

- Ensure that the room you are working on has a suitable ventilation system. If you decide to use a fan, make sure it does not have dust on it.

When you are finished with your painting job, do not be satisfied yet unless you check on these things:

- No drips of the paints, everything should be smooth, clean, and no bumps

  whatsoever.

- The painted areas receive a well even amount of paint coverage. Check

especially the areas like corners or dark spots.

- No sign of the old colors on the wall, since the purpose of painting your room is

to get a whole new color in it.

- Scrap your window from any sticking paint spots.

- There are even lines of the paint; use one way of painting technique unless you

want some zigzag traces on the wall.

In order to get the best result, you might want to ask some suggestions and opinions from other people. Also, check carefully after you finish painting because the result might feel different if you use an artificial light or the sunlight.
